Where do I start with Protea? From the moment you walk through the doors you are made to feel welcome. The staff at the front desk were attentive and professional. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed; clean, modern, good WiFi connection and a good desk so that I could work. The restaurant staff are great. I really looked forward to having my breakfast and dinner here. The chef is superb. Although the breakfast is buffet which i normally despise, the choice is good and the food is prepared with love. I don't eat meat and still had enough options to sustain me. There is also an egg station and pancakes if you like. Whenever there was something I needed, the chef would have the kitchen prepare it and bring it to me. They really go above and beyond here. It was so refreshing to stay in a hotel where they care about their guests. I had stayed in the Radisson previously both on the island and in Ikeja and it doesn't compare in service or quality of food. Dinner time was also a treat. They are flexible with the menu and would make things just how I wanted. The food was so delicious. Honestly I ordered the same dish on numerous occasions the staff had to persuade me to try something different!! I was not disappointed. Overall this is a great hotel with a central location. It's right across the road from City Mall and next to the passport office. It's also very close to the airport. If you're in ikeja you must stay here.

However, breakfast varieties could be better, service in restaurant could be more faster and effective. Otherwise all were very good. Thanks for all staff, with special appreciation to Margaret, with her smile and rounding everywhere to make sure that every one is satisfied and needs are accomplished, she was really of good help with smiley face always, trust me she will facilitate your life and make it rosy.

I loved every bit of my stay at the hotel, I loved that the room was always cool even when I turned off the AC. I also loved that the room was most times quiet, and there was no disturbance at all. I also loved the WiFi speed, I actually came with my personal mobile WiFi device, but I didn't need to use it at all, as the WiFi service at the hotel was very efficient. Overall, I'll really recommend.

We always enjoy their peppersoup. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooms are always clean and decent. Overall, it is always a pleasant experience staying here.
